Job Description
Train D1 is looking for professional and knowledgeable Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer for full and part-time positions at the Sono Field House in Norwalk, CT.
Trainers are expected to be able to follow and teach our Train D1 workout program. Train D1 is a fitness regime developed by Division 1 athletes. However, we want trainers to bring personal knowledge and experience to the program. Top priority is to ensure client safety, satisfaction, and enhancement of personal/team fitness goals.
The workout program (Train D1) requires fitness instructors to handle individuals, small groups, and even large- team size groups. The group fitness instructor is responsible for presenting a positive and competent image through quality fitness programs designed to meet the standard of the community of CT.
We need Fitness Instructors who are devoted and excited in assisting clients in achieving and fulfilling their individual and team fitness goals by maximizing seven (7) parameters of our program (Train D1): Speed, Quickness, Endurance, Strength, Power, Flexibility, and Body Composition.
Trainers must have a current professional certification in Group Fitness Class Instruction from a nationally recognized and accredited organization. Educational background in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Health Education or related field is a strong plus.
Hours for all positions range from 2-60 hours per month. Trainers must be flexible to meet requirements of the position including some evenings; weekend and holidays may be required.
Training will start as early as October 1st.
